Economy
Our server has a basic economy system that is included in the essentials plugin.
It is based on digital currency preceded by the $ sign. This means it is not an in-game object.

There is two ways to increase your money value in-game:
• Sell your diamonds to the server for $1000 each. It is also possible to buy diamonds for $1000 from the server.
• Sell your items with a Sign to other players. The item value is decided by you.

Any type of sign transaction (buy/sell) is done by RIGHT-clicking a sign.

At spawn, there is a trading center for players who want to place trading signs. Creating trading signs is not limited to spawn.

Economy commands

/balance
States how much money you have. You can NOT go below $0.

/pay <player> <amount>
Pays another player from your balance.

/balancetop
Gets the top-list of the wealthiest player on the server.

/itemdb
Displays information about the item you are holding in hand. This command is useful because it show short names of items that can be used for trading. Example: Instead of using cobblestone as name you can use cobble.
Sell items with signs
What you write
[Trade]
$10
5 Jungle:100
Let's say you want to sell 100 of your Jungle Logs. Each $10 would give players 5 logs.
You will need a sign and the 100 logs in your inventory. Hold the logs in hand and type /itemdb, this will tell you that a short name is just Jungle.
Place your sign and
Line 1 type [Trade]
Line 2 type the amount you are selling for - $10
Line 3 type how many logs they get followed by the name (short name), a colon and the total amount of logs you are selling - 5 Jungle:100
After this click Done.
What you get
[Trade]
$10:0
5 Jungle:100
buddycat1
If everything went okay [Trade] will turn blue, the 100 logs will disappear and your name will appear in grey at the bottom.
If someone buys from you the 100 will drop with 5 each time until it reaches 0. The 0 next to $10 will increase with 10 each time someone buys.
You collect the money by RIGHT-clicking the sign with empty hand. You can refill sign with more logs by RIGHT-clicking with more logs in hand.
You can refill your sign with more logs than what you initially put as total. Just right-click with more logs.
If you break the sign while it still has items/money in it, all that remains will re-appear in your inventory/balance. If there is no more space then items will drop to ground.
When it fails
[Trade]
$10:0
5 Jungle:100
buddycat1
If [Trade] turns red in color it means something went wrong. Usually you get information in-game of what the error is.
Make sure you have 100 logs in your inventory, also when you write line 2 you only type the money $10. Do NOT add the :0 - This is added automatic by the game.
Make sure the amount you give for each sell adds up to the total. e.g., You can not sell 64 items when you give 5 each time. You will end 1 short. Sell 60 or 65 in that case.
You can always fill up with more items by right-clicking with item in hand anyways.
If [Trade] is black and no name appeared at the bottom it means you made a typo somewhere.
Buy items with signs
What you write
[Trade]
1 Slimeball
$5:200
Buying items works the same way as selling but in reverse. Let's say you want to buy 1 Slimeball for $5 each. But no more than $200. Place sign and
Line 1 type [Trade]
Line 2 type the amount you will buy per click and the short name - 1 Slimeball
Line 3 type the amount of money you will pay for each selling, colon, then how much money you are willing to pay in total. - $5:200
After this click Done.
What you get
[Trade]
1 Slimeball:0
$5:200
craig997
If everything went okay [Trade] will turn blue, $200 will be taken from your balance and your name will appear in grey at the bottom.
If someone sells to you, the $200 will drop with $5 each time until it reaches $0. The :0 next to 1 Slimeball will increase with 1 each time someone buys.
You collect the items sold to you by RIGHT-clicking the sign. Unlike refilling with items you can not refill signs with more money.
Once all the money is gone you need to break and place a sign again and repeat the progress.
If you break the sign while it still has items/money in it, all that remains will re-appear in your inventory/balance. If there is no more space then items will drop to ground.
When it fails
[Trade]
1 Slimeball:0
$5:200
craig997
If [Trade] turns red in color it means something went wrong. Usually you get information in-game of what the error is.
Make sure you have enough money in your /balance. In line 2 you only put amount and short name 1 Slimeball. Do NOT add the :0 - This is added auto by the game.
Make sure the math adds up. e.g., You can not sell for $32 when you give $5 each time. You will end $3 short. Sell $30 or $35 in that case.
If [Trade] is black and no name appeared at the bottom it means you made a typo somewhere.

Make sure you have enough items (64 cobblestone) in your inventory. In line 2 you only put amount and short name 10 Spruce. Do NOT add the :0 - This is added auto by the game.
